Heat Pumps
Economical, effective & environmentally-
friendly Heat Pumps in Ashford
Installing a modern heat pump is one of the most
economical, effective and environmentally-friendly
ways to cover your heating and hot water needs.
Because the main source of heat generation is from
the environment, the amount of additional energy
needed to heat your home is vastly reduced
compared to other methods. Some of the benefits
of using a heat pump system in your home include:
Reduced energy bills
No Emissions
Sustainable
Quiet Operation
Long Service Life
High Efficiency
Low Maintenance
Types of Heat Pump
Heat pumps come in several types, but use either
air, ground or water sources to generate hot water
and heating for your home. Most of the energy they
use is generated by their surrounding environment
whilst some is supplied by your household
electricity supply.
Air source heat pumps extract heat from the
external air and are the most common type of heat
pumps. They are suitable for use in most types of
home including apartments and flats off the ground
floor. Although some electricity energy is required to
achieve this, it is generally only around 25% of the
total energy used during the process. Air source
heat pumps will also operate when outside
temperatures are low.
Air Source Heat Pumps
Ground source heat pumps extract heat from the
ground generally via an array of buried pipes. You
will need to have the necessary land for this type of
installation. Because they are buried, ground
source installations are effectively invisible once
completed. LIke air source types of heat pump,
some electricity energy is required to allow this,
although it is generally only around 25% of the total
energy used during the process.
